please suggest me the algorithms to find the diameter of the optic disc(circular shape) in fundus images using matlab ?? thank you in advance

 We are doing a project in image processing.

problem statement*| finding the diameter of the optic disc in fundus images using matlab..

if the diameter of the optic disc is >2mm it is concluded that eye is affected by "lazy eye " problem. please help us to find the diameter of the optic disc.. optic disc ALREADY is in the circular shape.. WE NEED ALGORITHMS TO FIND THE DIAMETER

Thank you :). in our base paper they mentioned the "stochastin hill climbing algorithm " to find the diameter of the optic disc.. if u have that algorithm can you please give me the "stochastic hill climbing algorithm".
