Segmentation and Following of Bubbles between Frames of High Speed Capture
Show older comments
I've got a cloud of bubbles, taken with a high-speed. It's a very limited amount of frames, so I've uploaded an example of 5 images onto this imgur album.
What I'm trying to do is to follow (and size) each bubble through the frames. As you can see, the images are ridiculously grainy and the bubbles are not easily discernible, even by eye.
The white thing on the bottom half of the image is a rat bone and can be ignored.
I've tried to remove the noise using wiener filters and so forth, but doing so usually dramatically reduces bubble size due to the each bubble having a shiny reflective bubble bit and shadowed bubble bit.
What I'm doing right now is using my mouse to draw ROIs around each bubble, which as you can imagine, is not optimal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
