how to convince mathworks to increase number of parallel workers?

3 views (last 30 days)
the current limit is 12 workers for the parallel computing toolbox. top end computers now have 16 hyperthreaded cores. why are we not allowed to use all of them? why even have a limit at all?? why even have a separate toolbox for parallel computing, instead of having it built-in to matlab itself???
please reply to this thread if you'd like to see this artificial limit increased or removed.

Please note that in R2014a the limit on the number of local workers was removed. See the release notes.

When you buy MS Windows 8 Home Edition, why doesn't it include all the Windows server software, and MS Office, and Exchange, and Flight Simulator updated to include the Project X commercial rockets? Why isn't everything built in to MS Windows itself?
