Cannot install Matlab r2012b on Windows 8

The downloading agent would not work on Win8, so I chose to download the installer manually. However, after I double clicker the installer, nothing happened after the file extracting itself. Do I need to fix something on the system to get it installed?

Mathworks offers free support for all installation problems.
