Hello,
I am trying to install Matlab R2012b on an iMac with Mountain Lion installed. I am doing this as an administrator. However, for some reason I get the error message: "Unable to create destination folder /Applications/MATLAB_R2012b.app. Please choose another destination folder". Any idea how I can circumvent this problem?
Many thanks!
Ture

Does the directory already exist? Is it empty? Can you remove it?
If it does not already exist, what happens if you go in via a Terminal window and
sudo mkdir Applications/MATLAB_R2012b.app
