Simulink global function call

Hey guys,
I have created a matlab skript in which I am using nested functions. Now I want to transfer some of this code to SIMULINK where I have created a modell.
I tried to use the "Matlab function block" but this one doesn't support nested functions. Imagine this. I have a .m-file in which I specify functions that I want to use in multiple "Matlab Function blocks" in SIMULINK. In C you'd have the #include command in order to specify another file, where the functions are specified.
Is something like this somehow possible???
Please let me know, if you need some more information in order to understand what I am trying to do.
THX and regards

You can remove nested functions and call them as a independent function from your matlab function
