Cannot find meditor ( for the LIFE OF ME)

Greetings everyone.

I run Matlab on windows 7 x64 platform, but for the life of me, I cannot find meditor.exe at location "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2011b\bin\win64". I have tried searching the forums and google alike but there has not been a thread which describes my problem here.

I have tried searching indexed and non-indexed locations on my computer and still to no avail.

Attached is a screenshot of all my applications together. No meditor! Any help would be of great use.

meditor was discontinued several years ago. It no longer ships with MATLAB. R2007b was the last version to ship with meditor. (Yet another reason to keep those older versions of MATLAB installed if you have them)

There are many universal editors available today, using which you can edit for several programming languages including Matlab.

One of them is called Notepad++ for example (link below). You could write your code and it automatically provides the text coloring to you, as would do the original editor.
