How do I read .avi and write each frame to .jpeg?

17 views (last 30 days)
This is the first thing I've ever tried to do in MATLAB, so it's probably really sloppy. Here is what I have so far:
mov = VideoReader('BW_test.avi');
j=0;
for k = 1:600
string = sprintf('BW_test_frame_%d', k, k);
v=mov(1,k);
F(k) = getframe(gcf);
image(F.cdata)
colormap(F.colormap)
[F.cdata,F.colormap] = frame2im(F);
filename=[string, '.jpg'];
imwrite(F.cdata, filename, 'jpg');
end
I'm getting an error in line 7; incorrect number of arguments specified. Also, it looks like only 2 images are being created (frame 1 & 600, which I can't view...but their names are duplicating i.e. "BW_test_frame_1BW_test_frame_1.jpg").
Any ideas to get me off the ground with this one? Much appreciated.
