How to solve a nonlinear parabolic equation

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi, I am trying to solve an nonlinear heat transfer equations. The coefficies are functions with temperature T and time scale t. I tried to use PDE toolbox in matlab. In the example " A minimal surface Problem", only ux and uy are used in the solver parameters. And "pdenonlin" function is used for solving the nonlinear PDE scalar elliptic problem. For a nonlinear parabolic pde involved time, which function can be used and how to do?
Many thanks!

Qingyuan,
Unfortunately, the current version of PDE Toolbox does not support nonlinear transient equations. The function parabolic cannot solve heat transfer equations where the coefficients or boundary conditions are functions of temperature.
