Gender Classification using video input and then count it

7 views (last 30 days)
Hi, I am still learning for using matlab. I am a student, I am currently working on the final project for research to detect people by gender and then classify it as male or female and calculate it through video input data. Right now i am still using Histogram of oriented gradients to detect face or not face. But then i get less than maximum results.
I would be eternally grateful if any of the experts on here are able to share a working code that serves the above purpose.
Thank you.

Detecting gender from images is about as meaningful as detecting religion from images that include plenty of images from actors on stage. It is not possible to do with any accuracy at all, and I do not recommend that you bother trying to do this.

I think he means sex not gender which is very possible to do. Gender and sex used to mean the same thing so I could understand the confusion.

Detecting sex from images is also not possible to do. Not even if you restrict your definition of "sex" to refer to 23rd chromosome.
The most you can get from images is an estimate of how much a person matches correlations and stereotypes.
