Hi there,
I have a function for generating random numbers inside a given interval. It's purpose is to control the frequency of values according to it's value, as per the code:
lambda = [0.3 0.7 1 1.5 1.8 2];
for a = 1:length(lambda)
A = 1 - exp(-lambda(a));
MIS{a} = -log(1 - A * rand(1,1000))/lambda(a);
end
l = ceil(length(lambda)^0.5);
for a = 1:length(lambda)
subplot(l,l,a), hist(MIS{a})
end
I would like to create a curve that would "fit" the histogram bars, but have absolutely no idea on how to proceed. Any ideas or indications?
Cheers
