Compiling Simulink Models on OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion

In Lion, all was fine with the XCode 4.2 compiler being used after applying the patch on the mathworks site. However, after upgrading, the installed version of XCode doesnt work, so XCode 4.4 had to be downloaded and installed. However, now I cant compile any models still. I have installed the command line tools as I thought that was also necessary, this didnt help.
While writing this, I have discovered the problem is that the new XCode doesnt have a developer folder in the HDD root, its all inside the app, and I assume the patch ppoints matlab to the compiler in the developer folder. During 4.4 install, I trashed the 4.2 install. Restored it to the HDD and now all is good.
(Still posting in case anyone else hits the same problem)
