A good place to discuss about computer (machine?) vision

Hello there! My research work is to measure deformation of a milling cutter by fast video camera. I'm going to use MATLAB for my researches. I din't find any topics related to my interests here... I gotta ask you the right forum using MATLAB for computer vision. I just want to start with something :-) Thank you very much!

What do you mean by "using" - what kind of things would you expect from a forum? What are you looking for? Linked-in has a forum on machine vision, and there are two trade magazines on it (Advanced Imaging and Vision System Design). There is also a newsgroup sci.image.processing. You might try some of those resources if you don't find what you're looking for here.

By "using" I mean that I hope there on forum MATLAB will be used mostly. MATLAB for machine vision.
I'm looking for community where I can see other shared results, where I cat ask my questions and so on. Of course I have some books and I have already study this field. But books are books, discussion with living people are more effective.
Thank you very much for the resources! I'll work on them.

You can ask image processing questions here. If you look at the tags, you'll see that image processing is the third most common topic, after base MATLAB and Simulink.

Yeah, I noticed it.
But as beginner I decided to ask before.

Steve also has a blog on image processing. http://blogs.mathworks.com/steve/ You can contact him there and ask questions. If they're interesting he might even devote a column (blog entry) to them. He likes interesting new problems and actual "use cases."

OK! I followed your recommendations and found forum in Linked-in, found the group. It's good!
I'll look at the blog. We (I and my supervisor) will think of contacting. Our research might be really interesting for them.
Thank you! I found this forum very very friendly :-) I'll also stay here ( I mean I'll use this forum ).

Not sure if it's gonna be helpful, but a couple of times found the CV materials here: orange.dataart.com For example, there was a post about Apple's Healthkit API. http://orange.dataart.com/integrate-with-healthkit-api/
