Which matlab solution suits me best?

Im not really sure if this is the right place to place my question, but in lack of better alternatives here goes:

I'm a student who recently started a project in matlab. For this we need to setup a central matlab server where all heavy simulation will take place. The idea is to connect remotely to the server and perform all simulations needed.

Untill now I have only used matlab in a desktop environment and Im not sure what solution would suit my needs here? We have a server in place running VMWare ESXi and Windows 2008 Server R2 and was hoping to get a matlab solution integrated into this. What product are we looking for in the mathwork portfolio?
