The Simulink file is not produced when you export from SolidWorks. You need to import the XML file produced by the SolidWorks plugin using smimport() (or mech_import if you are using First Generation).

Is it possible to do so for non- sim mechanics application?
For example, i want to read a parametric model and its parameters (of a solidworks ) model, which is a grooved pipe, of radius, helical pitch, groove depth etc, in matlab and run the solidworks session from matlab.
Is this possible?
