Dynamic Time Warping: Weighting and Normalization function

4 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I am using Dynamic time warping to perform model validation of the dynamic behavior of a truck model in matlab. The DTW algorithm is working well but I have two questions that need further clarifications.
1. How do I use the distance measure obtained at the end of the algorithm to perform quantitative analysis of how well the simulation matches with the measurement signals? The distance that I have at the end of the algorithm is along the minimal cost path. 2. How can I choose a proper and relevant normalizing and weighting function?
The two signals being compared are displacement vs. time signals.
Thank you!
