1 view (last 30 days)
Hey .. Since I updated my Macbook to Yosemite Matlab won't work ... Tried the Patch Fix (<http://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/1098655>) , which still didnt hit the right spot.. I constantly get an Error "You can’t use this version of the application “MATLAB_R2014a” with this version of OS X. You have “MATLAB_R2014a” R2014a (8.3.0)." Can Someone help ? Appreciate it .. thx

For MATLAB R2012a through R2014a , there are two fixes available:
  • One will remove the 'cancel' icon over the MATLAB icon, and will resolve "You can't use this version of the application" message.
  • The other will resolve a Java error when attempting to launch MATLAB.
These fixes can be accessed through the following MathWorks Answer:

Hello, I have a matlab 2014a student version. I had the same problem when I updated to Yosemite. I did something that worked for me.
Go to Applications/MATLAB_2014a/licenses and delete the license file. Start matlab and do the internet activation. Launch matlab with a 'sudo sh matlab' in the terminal. It works fine for me.
Hope it can help someone.
