How do I re-install Matlab when I have restored my computer to a point before it had been installed?

I purchased Matlab on 16/10/2014 and had a few issues with a virus on the same day so I restored my laptop to the 12/10/2014 which has solved the problems with the virus but uninstalled Matlab. I have tried downloading it again from my account but it tells me the files already exist and asks if I want to overwrite them. I have selected yes to all, but when I search through my programmes Matlab is no longer there.

You have to find the installation file and run it. Try looking in the download folder that your browser uses. Obviously MATLAB is no longer installed so you can't look in c:\Program Files\Matlab and find "matlab.exe". You have to search your hard drive for "matlab_R2014b_win64.exe" or something similar because that is the installer. Run that and follow the directions and you will get matlab.exe when it's all done. If you have trouble, call the Mathworks - they offer free telephone help for all installation issues, even for student/educational/home versions.
