Hello,
I am currently using the commands bwconncomp and regionprops in order to investigate connected regions within a stack of binary images.
For the 3D matrix that I have the regionprops command allows for the Area, Centroid and BoundingBox of the connected points in my dataset to be found. The 'Area' that is found by the regionprops doesn't make sense as my data set is 3 dimensional. In this case is the 'Area' actually the volume of the connected points?
Thanks

Yes. In general, it's the pixel (voxel) count in each region.
