How to find low intensity pixel in a 8*8 block of gray image by using FIREFLY algorithm?

I have to find the best location to embed my secrete data using firefly algorithm. I convert 512*512 image into 8*8 blocks. I want to embed 1024 bits in a block.so that i need to select best position which are having less intensity.
