Why does the framerate of my GigE camera cannot be adjusted to the maximum allowed by the camera, but instead it stays at half of its value?

Hello!
I am working with a Mako 419-NIR GigE camera, from Allied Vision Technologies, which has a resolution of 2048x2048. If I use the visualization software provided by the company, my camera can work perfectly at 23.14 frames per second. However, when I go to Matlab, the maximum framerate I can get without imaqmem problems is 11.57. I have seen that the ImageSize for each frame in Matlab is 8388608=2048x2048x2, instead of the 2048x2048=4194304 expected. I am recording in Mono8 with the same conditions of the software I mentioned before.
Does anyone know why this could happen and, please, how I could solve it?
Thank you very much in advance!
