How does my created GUI model calls the data stored in external Excel(.xlsx) file?

I have two sets of data in excel files with time and respective value parameters. I wanna display this data in GUI model as Time on X-axis and respective value on Y-axis with user selected date(for example 01-01-2012). How to code the .m file?
