Print depsc is slow

Hello,
I am using quiver3 to generate some 3d vector field pictures and using print -depsc to save them as eps file.
The input file is stored in binary and has a size of 20M. Each figure has about 7e+4 nodes. Running quiver3 is very fast, but generating eps file with print - depsc takes about 40mins per figure. Is there any way to fasten it?
