Matlab generated figure does not show correctly in mac OS

I plotted all of my color figures (scatter or contourm) on my Windows machine and then pasted them into Microsoft Word.

Then I copied the file to my Mac OS X. When I tried to open the word file using the Mac version of the Microsoft Word, it took forever to scroll to the pages with the figures. Most of the time, it simply crashed my computer.

Is there a solution from the Matlab side?
