I'm trying to execute a mex file on ubuntu 14.04 which uses the hdf5 library.
When i try to save the .h5 file i have this warning and Matlab crashes.
Warning! ***HDF5 library version mismatched error***
The HDF5 header files used to compile this application do not match
the version used by the HDF5 library to which this application is linked.
...
...
Headers are 1.8.13, library is 1.8.6
I downloaded the hdf5 prebuilt library from: http://www.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/release/obtain5.html
My question is: how can i let matlab link to the most recent library?

Isn't the problem that the "mex file" isn't compatible with "the most recent library" ?

Put the hdf5 prebuilt library in a same folder with mex file. Or use old version hdf5, just 1.8.6. Matlab use hdf5 ver1.8.6, but your mex file use 1.8.13.

How can I get my mex file to use the older version of hdf5?
