Comet to a movie

I am working on a project for school and would like to take a comet plot and turn it into a movie so I can transfer it to a presentation on Powerpoint. Any advice on how to do that? Maybe using draw now or getframe?

You can use export_fig to write your figures out to image files. Then create a movie out of them using code from the FAQ: http://matlab.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#How_can_I_create_a_movie_from_my_MATLAB_figures.3F

Though I don't know if you can do that with comet. comet is virtually useless on my computer anyway because there's no speed option and it goes by in the blink of an eye.

I suggest you pull the plot() functions inside your loop and right after them, but still inside the loop, call export_fig() so that you save a frame to disk at each iteration. Then once all the frames are written out to disk, use the FAQ code to build a movie.

Pulling the plots into my loop freezes matlab, any way you could walk me through this?
