PDEtool Pdeplot formatting issue

Hello, I'm using pdetool to plot a nonlinear thermal problem.

My issue is that the pdetool creates a "prettier" plot than what I get using pdeplot. Specifically pdetool as separated color gradations similar to a contour plot. Pdeplot instead has a continuous colormap and the resulting solution looks wavy.

I know this is a plotting issue because I have exported the solution, and plotted the same thing twice with different results.
