xlsm with texts and numbers problem

I have a .xlsm file that contains numbers and texts in the form that is like H(2,1) M(1) L(3,10)... etc. I want to read it using xlsread but it don't read it as it is and only reads the rows and columns with numbers only.. how to fix it or how to read it as it is?

Please post your code. According to the documentation, xlsread imports text also - simply look at the 2nd and 3rd output.
