What is the "I" input to the block?

Not sure,but i think its value is 1 here and it takes direct input from the block processing, and as far as "bits" is concerned if one is taken we'll have two combinations i.e 0 & 1(the numbers represented by one bit).I am new to matlab /simulink and got this figure from example models of simulink and couldn't find the bpp calculator block in the library.

I'm not sure. I speculate that it is a block or subsystem that is included in the model for that demo. I do not have that toolbox so I do not have access to the model.
