How do I download Matlab student edition on a Windows 64-bit operating system?

2 views (last 30 days)
I just bought Matlab student edition and when I went to download it, it prompted me to choose a platform. I tried all three options and it didn't work. How do I download it if I'm using Windows 64-bit?

Sorry, you can't get a 64 bit Student version of R2013 on Windows. Go here for the official Mathworks answer: http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/94005-is-the-matlab-student-version-supported-for-64-bit-operating-systems
If you just want to download the 32 bit version and can't, then it could be a firewall problem and you may have do download individual components one at a time.

How are you trying to download the 32 bit version? Are you trying to use their download manager? I can never use that at work due to firewall issues (though I can at home), but on the screen there is a link or button to switch to a screen where it lets you download one component at a time via regular browser methods instead of using their special download manager. It's tedious -- you have to manually download and save dozens of files instead of doing it all in one shot. Can you try from your home computer instead of a University account (which may have a dense firewall)?

Abbey, note that the 32 bit Student Version will run under 64 bit MS Windows, so download the 32 bit MS Windows version.
