Simulink instrument control toolbox help

I am studying on real time servo motor control. I am using "to instrument" and "query instrument" block in "instrument control toolbox". ı can run it and also write and read data. when ı put these blocks into "subsystem block" and put "outport", the simulation interrupt. error occur. error message is "response of the divece is empty". what can I do?
