How to receive an Emergency Request via EtherCAT?

4 views (last 30 days)
Does anyone know, how a Emergency Request sent by a Slave in an EtherCAT network can be read with the standard blocks provided for xpcTarget? There is a CoE Write/Read block, but I didn't succeed using that one... An Emergency Request is somehow different to a SDO Upload/Download because it is sent by the slave without asking for it.
About my project: We use xpcTarget as a Master for an EtherCAT Network with several Elmo Gold motor drivers as slaves. I already sucessfully did establish a communication via PDO's, and I can also send and receive SDO's with the CoE Read /Write blocks.

We haven't implemented a way of retrieving a COE Emergency message at this time. I'll create an enhancement request, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to do it.
