The “Surge Arrester” block makes my SimPowerSystems simulation unstable.
According to the documentation, this is a very highly nonlinear block.
What can I try to improve the stability of this simulation?

This issue can be caused by the "Break algebraic loop " option in the parameters of the Surge Arrester.
Here is what the documentation states about this option.
"You should be aware that disabling the algebraic loop introduces a one-simulation-step time delay in the model. This can cause numerical oscillations if the sample time is too large. "
In some case, breaking the loop makes the model unstable.
Please unchek this option to run the simulation properly.
