Hi,
I have to calculate huge factorials, and I'm losing precision when my numbers get bigger than the epsilon machine number (around 2^16 in matlab I think). I've been told the only way would be to work with strings but it gets complicated since it's the ASCII codes that are being multiplicated with strings. Any ideas ?

Look at John D'Errico's extended precision class on FEX...
There just might be a specific tool for large factorials I didn't search, just recalled John's submission...

See the Symbolic Toolbox if you have it.
