Why am I unable to connect my LEICA FireWire compatible cameras through Image Acquisition Toolbox?

4 views (last 30 days)
I have two LEICA FireWire cameras, LEICA DFC 350 FX and LEICA DFC 500, that I can connect to the PC using the IEEE 1394 Interface. I have followed the troubleshooting steps described in the documentation.
I am following the steps in the documentation for "Configuring the DCAM Driver", however I receive the following message when I click Finish after updating the driver.

This is not a bug in Image Acquisition Toolbox. The specifications of the two cameras show that they are both FireWire 1394 cameras; however they are not DCAM cameras.
Furthermore, these cameras support only Twain standard that Image Acquisition Toolbox does not support. Since the cameras are not DCAM compliant, they cannot be supported by Image Acquisition Toolbox.
