Get real time data from Pulse oximeter to display in matlab

My name is Moria and I am a Medical Engineering student. I am currently working on my Final Project for which we have perchased a AFE44x0SPO2EVM with an msp430 processor from TI, which comes with a pulse oximeter. I need to get the Pulse signal to calculate HRV parameters. I need to find a way to get my rawdata (The signal coming from the red LED) in realtime using matlab. I suceeded on opening the port in matlab but cant seem to find a way to display anything (Plus it only works on a 32bit operation system, is there a chance I could open a port in a 64bit windows operation system?). Is there anyone who could by any chance you can help me?
