How to view the variable value in the demo model

Hi,
I am new to simulink and i am trying to explore the function, feature through the demo model. but i cannot figure out how to find out the value of the variable often in the 'Solid' such as the cross section. I have checked the mask properties, and it is not there.
can anyone help me?
