How can Real-Time Windows Target be used with the Mouse and Parallel Ports?

3 views (last 30 days)
I would like to know how to use the standard I/O devices in the Real-Time Windows Target (RTWT). I was trying to use the Mouse and the Parallel Port but am unsuccessful.
Here is the error I receive when attempting to use the mouse:
Error reported by S-function 'rtwinoi' in block 'untitled/Other Input':
The board "Standard Devices Mouse" has no Other Input channels
I was able to get a running model with the mouse as Analog Input but I would like to have a description of the channels that are configured for the Mouse and for the Parallel port. A good sample demo (and description) on how to use these two devices with RTWT would be really helpful.

Two demo models, mousepins.mdl and lptpins.mdl, at the bottom of this solution show examples of this.
One example is for a mouse: mousepins.mdl
The other example is for a parallel port: lptpins.mdl
The models show all the possible I/O configurations for these two devices. You can double click on the blocks in the model to see the settings used as examples for your application.
