Is it necessary to have the Fixed Point Toobox 1.1 (R14SP1) and Simulink Fixed Point 5.0.1 (R14SP1) licenses to use blocks from the Embedded Target for TI C6000 DSP (tm) 2.2.1 (R14SP1) Blockset?

I am trying to use a block from the C62x and C64x DSP Libraries in the Embedded Target for TI C6000(tm) DSP Blockset. However, when I try to update or run my model, I get the following error:

 Fixed-Point Toolbox is not installed. You must install Fixed-Point Toolbox

 and Simulink Fixed Point in order to use the TI C62x or C64x DSP Library

However, the product requirements for the Embedded Target for TI C6000 DSP (tm) only list these products as recommended and not required.

This change has been incorporated into the documentation in Release 14 Service Pack 3 (R14SP3). For previous releases, read below for any additional information:

The product requirements for the Embedded Target for TI C6000(tm) DSP 2.2.1 (R14SP1) are incomplete in that they list the Fixed-Point Toolbox and Simulink Fixed-Point as recommended products, not required products.

The Fixed-Point Toolbox and Simulink Fixed Point are required to enable the fixed-point features of the the Embedded Target for TI C6000(tm) DSP 2.2.1 (R14SP1) such as using the included fixed-point DSP libraries or targeting fixed-point processors.
