I want to record an animation that I created using the Virtual Reality Toolbox. In particular, I would like to create an AVI or MPEG movie file from the animation.

This enhancement has been made for Release 14 (R14). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
The ability to create an AVI or MPEG-file from animations is not available in the Virtual Reality Toolbox.
To work around this issue, an AVI-file can be created using any third party video-capturing program, i.e., a utility that creates an AVI file from any window or screen region (e.g., SnagIt). In order to reduce the AVI-file size, post-process the file using a video editing/converting software package (e.g., VirtualDub).
